1.1 Overview
QCD BrowseAmp -> basics -> Overview

QCD BrowseAmp is a plug-in for the cooles music player for windows:

Quintessential Player
created by Paul Quinn.

With QCD BrowseAmp you can access the player over a network and control playback/playlists with a standard webbrowser like IE or Mozilla.

No more standing up and searching the music server in your house. You can now do that from every workstation connected to the server with a ordinary webbrowser like IE.

How to use
  • Install QCD and BrowseAmp.
  • Run QCD.
  • Open up your webbrowser
  • enter as location: http://localhost
  • now you should see the webinterface of BrowseAmp

1.2 System requirements
QCD BrowseAmp -> basics -> System requirements

You need:

Webserver status
shows the current server status and the port on which BrowseAmp is running. Before you can edit the options in this cetegory you have to stop the server.
Server-Port: the port that is used to connect to the server. If you use something different than 80 you need to add that number to the url in the webbrowser (http://localhost:8080)
Bind to localhost hides the server from every other computer in the network. You can only access the webinterface from the local machine. Useful if you don't like open ports.
